FAQ

Questions, answered

How does local multiplayer work?

Get everyone on the same Wi-Fi, or on one phone's hotspot, with the same version of the game. One player hosts a party and picks a mode; the others see it on their Home screen and tap to join, or type the 4-digit room code. Up to 8 players fit in one room, each on their own phone or tablet, and no internet is needed. See Support if friends don't show up.

Can two of us play together against bots?

Yes, even just the two of you. When you host, pick CO-OP under HOST A ROOM, or turn TEAMS on in the room's rules and set SIDES to FRIENDS VS BOTS. Everyone in the room is on one side and bots take the other, sized for a fair fight. With SIDES on MIXED, the room splits people over both teams instead.

My friend's room doesn't show on my iPhone

Finding rooms on iPhone and iPad is new (beta). First allow local network access: Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network > turn on Stickbash. If the room still doesn't appear, join by the host's address, shown under the room code (OR BY IP: 192.168...): open ALL MODES > WI-FI > JOIN WITH CODE, tap BY IP and type it. More in Support.

Do I need an internet connection?

Not for Wi-Fi parties, 1v1 vs bot, brawl vs bots, practice or training: they all work offline. Online matches, ranked play and shop purchases need a connection.

When can I play Stickbash?

Stickbash is in internal testing on Android and iOS right now. It's coming soon to Google Play and the App Store as "Stickbash: Stickman Fight"; the store pages will be linked here when they go live.

Who will I play against online?

Online matches may include AI players. To play against real friends, start a Wi-Fi party.

Which devices can play?

Stickbash is made for Android and iOS phones and tablets, played in landscape. Desktop builds with keyboard, mouse and gamepad controls exist too, but phones and tablets come first.

Can I change the controls?

Yes. Pick a control style in Settings > Controls, then move and resize every button and change its opacity.

What are Spotlight and Comic?

Two complete looks for the game's menus. Switch between them any time in Settings > Theme. Fights look the same in both.

Who is it for?

Players 13 and older. It has cartoon stick-figure fighting with weapons and optional blood effects. Blood can be turned off in Settings > Gameplay > Blood + gore.

Can I buy an advantage?

No. Everything for sale is cosmetic: hats, outfits, auras, emotes, weapon skins and kill effects. Chests are earned by playing and are never sold for money.

What about my data?

There's no account and your progress stays on your device. Read the privacy policy for the details.
