Stickbash Privacy Policy

Effective date: 19 October 2026
Applies to: the Stickbash game for Android and iOS (package / bundle ID com.basha.stickbash), version 1.0.0 and later, until this policy is updated.

Stickbash is published by Howincloud (Howin Cloud Solutions Private Limited), referred to below as "we", "us" or "our".
Questions about this policy: support@howincloud.com

The short version

  • You don't make an account. Stickbash has no sign-up and no login.
  • Your game stays on your device. Your fighter's name, the age you enter, your country, your progress and your settings are saved on your phone or tablet. We don't receive them.
  • No analytics, no tracking, no advertising ID. The game has no analytics or crash-reporting service and no ad network, and it never reads your device's advertising identifier.
  • Wi-Fi play stays on your Wi-Fi. When you play with friends on the same Wi-Fi, your fighter's name and look are shared with the devices on that network, and nowhere else.
  • We don't sell or share your personal information.

1. What the game saves on your device

The game keeps a save file and its settings in the app's private storage on your device:

WhatWhy
Your fighter's name, avatar, title, colour and country flagShown on your profile, on the Home stage and to friends in Wi-Fi play
The age you enter at first launch (and when you entered it)Sets the ad-safety rules (see section 5). It is never shown or sent to other players
Progress: level and XP, coins and gems, unlocked and equipped items, match statistics, missions, the season pass, rank, achievements, training progressSo you keep your progress between sessions
Settings: sound, graphics, controls layout, theme, the Blood & gore setting, notification choiceSo the game remembers your choices
A random install ID created by the gameLets devices on the same Wi-Fi tell each other apart (see section 2). It is random, is not tied to your device's hardware or to any advertising ID, and changes if you reinstall the game
Records of test purchasesSo test items stay unlocked (see section 6)

This information does not leave your device, except for the Wi-Fi play information described in section 2. Deleting the app (or clearing its data) deletes it.

2. Playing with friends on Wi-Fi (local network)

When you are on the Home screen or the Wi-Fi party screens, the game sends a small "I'm here" message over your local Wi-Fi network (or a phone hotspot) every few seconds, so friends on the same network can find you. It contains:

  • your fighter's name, avatar, colour, country flag, level, title and equipped cosmetic items;
  • the random install ID from section 1;
  • the game version, and whether you are on Home, hosting a room (with its room code and mode) or playing.

The game also announces itself with your network's standard local device discovery (Bonjour, also called mDNS), so friends' phones can find it: the announcement carries your fighter's name, the random install ID, the game version, your device's address on the local network and the room details. Like the messages above, it stays on the local network.

During a Wi-Fi match, the devices in the room exchange the game itself (moves, positions, scores) directly with each other.

These messages travel only between devices on the same local network. They are not sent to the internet and we never receive them. On iPhone and iPad, iOS asks your permission before the game can use the local network; if you decline, Wi-Fi play won't find other players, and everything else still works.

3. Online matches

In this version of Stickbash, online matches are played on your device against AI-controlled opponents (shown as players with names and flags). Online matches may include AI players. No match data is sent to a game server, and no other person sees your name through online play.

4. Checking your internet connection

Online modes need an internet connection, so the game checks whether you are online: at start-up, when you come back to the game, about every 15 seconds in the menus, and every few seconds during an online match (never during offline or Wi-Fi matches). It does this by sending a standard, empty connectivity-check request to one of these addresses:

  • www.google.com/generate_204 (Google)
  • cp.cloudflare.com/generate_204 (Cloudflare)
  • captive.apple.com/hotspot-detect.html (Apple)

These requests contain no game data and no personal information. As with any internet request, the provider that answers can see your device's IP address; their own privacy policies apply to that. We do not receive or store it.

5. Ads

This version shows test ad placeholders only. It contains no advertising network or ad SDK, sends nothing to advertisers and does not read your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android).

The age you enter decides how ads would behave: players under 18 (or who haven't entered an age) only ever get non-personalised ads and no tracking. If we add a real ad network in a future version, we will update this policy and the store's privacy information before that version is released, and adults will be asked for consent before any personalised ads.

6. Purchases

In this version, purchases in the shop are test purchases: they cost nothing, no payment is taken and no payment details are requested. If real purchases are added later, they will be handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your card or payment details; we would only learn which item was bought, to unlock it.

7. Notifications

If you turn them on, the game schedules local reminders on your device (for example "your chest is ready"), at most one a day. They are created by the game on your device, with no push-notification server. You can turn them off at any time in your device's settings (Notifications > Stickbash).

8. Children

Stickbash is meant for players 13 and older and is not directed at children under 13. It contains cartoon stick-figure fighting with weapons and optional blood effects. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children: the game sends no personal information to us at all. If you believe a child's information has reached us anyway, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your choices and rights

Because your information stays on your device, you are in control of it:

  • Change your fighter's name, avatar, title or country in the Profile screen.
  • Stop Wi-Fi sharing: turn off Wi-Fi, or (on iPhone and iPad) turn off Local Network for Stickbash in Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network.
  • Delete everything: uninstall the game, or clear its storage (Android: Settings > Apps > Stickbash > Storage > Clear storage).

Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR, the California CCPA/CPRA or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal information and to object to its processing. Since we hold no personal information about you, there is normally nothing for us to access or delete, but you can always contact us and we will answer.

10. Security

Your save file stays in the app's private storage on your device, which other apps cannot read. Wi-Fi play messages stay on your local network. Please play Wi-Fi rooms only on networks you trust.

11. Changes to this policy

If the game starts handling information differently (for example by adding a real ad network, real purchases or cloud saves), we will update this policy, change the effective date above and update the app stores' privacy information before that version is released.
